Freedom Playground
The Wings of Freedom Fish Fry event, with the generous support of individuals and businesses throughout the county, enables the Smyrna Rotary Club to give back to our community in impactful ways.
With the support of the Town of Smyrna, our local businesses and Fish Fry Sponsors, Freedom Playground, an all-inclusive playground, was built at Lee Victory Park. This much-needed playground is designed so that people of all ages and abilities can play together. Families with members who have physical or emotional disabilities, are able to play in close proximity and enjoy time at the playground together!
Census data shows that seven percent of individuals under the age of 65 have a disability. Many of these people are unable to enjoy recreational opportunities at a local park due to the lack of accessible and disability-friendly facilities. Smyrna Rotary believes that each person deserves an opportunity to spend time with their family and friends by sharing quality time just like families without disabilities.
Freedom Playground is located on Sam Ridley Parkway East at Lee Victory Park.
